Weekend at a glance: a new experience #43
I've noticed that my blog has become more pictures than words. Funny enough, I have about 28 posts pending. But...I'm lazy and I think they may be irrelevant at this point.A reader told me she missed my "wordy" posts. Wait, did I write this already? I can't remember. Have you noticed a change in my blog? What would you like to see more of? What would make you feel more included?I wish I could make my pictures come to life. I try to pick the ones that display the most action. Not to make you jealous...or anything like that. :)So this weekend began the month-long challenge of doing one thing everyday. Friday night, I attended a spoken word production called Destinations, at Destiny Metro Worship Church. The subject matter was all about social injustice. If you're ever in town when these young people are performing, you should check it out.Saturday, I went indoor rock climbing for the first time ever. It was so much fun!!! I really enjoy outdoor activities, even pseudo ones. My friend Whitney and I eventually became professionals at the sport. But it wasn't easy in the beginning. I really had to use my brain![youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lA81tj_en38]This is the beautiful time of year in Atlanta for every kind of festival known to man. I attended the Virginia Highland Summerfest. What does that even mean? Just art, live music, beer and food. Basically a good time.Sunday, I took myself to brunch at the yummy Ria's Bluebird. I can't wait to get my bluebird tattoo.PS. I've finally stopped feeling the pain from rock climbing. This must be a sign that I should work out regularly. But I highly doubt I will.
